This cologne is up there with a great scent (and price)! It’s well worth it. I remembered I wore this cologne the next day I bought it and my wife could not stay away from me. She said I smelled so good. This cologne can be added to your collection but after buying this scent, you really don’t need much more.

If you want the best of the best, regardless of cost, April 5, 2009

I own a whole shelf full of fine cologne, and Versace uses the highest quality ingredients, no question about it. The only complaint I have EVER heard about Versace is the cost (which can be greatly mitigated by shopping online). But trust me guys, you need to break down and open your wallets for this stuff, it lasts for hours upon hours, the smell will make girls melt, and the fact that they use real plant extracts (as opposed to using cheap synthetic ingredients made in a lab), which eliminates the risk of giving a migraine to that cute blonde you’re chatting up.

Not Impressed, December 16, 2010

Not really impressed with this cologne, especially given the hype in all the reviews I read before buying it. The scent is pretty nice, I must admit, but it fades away so fast it makes me think I got a fake knockoff bottle or an old bottle. Definitely not what I expected for a “premium” cologne like Versace. I own many colognes, and I would recommend a lot of others before this one. Gucci, BLV, Bleu de Chanel, Prada Infusion; just to name a few.

I would not advise a blind buy on this one. Go into Macy’s and try it on and see how long it last. Good scent, but fades away like a much cheaper cologne.

Do not purchase through AAA Perfumes, April 2, 2011

When deciding who to purchase from, I implore you to stick with Amazon.com directly, regardless of price.

The bottle of Versace Eau Fraiche I purchased through AAA Perfumes (AAA Merchants) was tampered with. The serial number on the bottom of the box did NOT match the one on the bottle which leads me to believe this product is counterfeit.

Furthermore, the serial number on the back of my bottle was tampered with, as if one of the numbers was removed with an Exacto knife. The fragrance was sour and reeked of alcohol. Definitely not authentic (and I’m not sure if this adulterated product is safe on my skin, there is a definite health concern here as I do not know what this fragrance was “cut” with!)

The box itself appeared tampered with, with lines of adhesive on the box indicating that it had been re-wrapped in cellophane.

Please, stick with Amazon. All of my fragrance purchases from them directly have been PERFECT, authentic and fresh juice. I know you’re looking for a deal (I was too), but it is just not worth the risk. Now I have the hassle of returning a product which should have been authentic and fresh to begin with.

I purchased this from the Amazon cologne/perfume shop. I’ve had it before. It is a wonderful scent that lasts for a good amount of time. This bottle that I purchased is entirely not the same as the other I purchased previously, from a department store. It goes on okay, and with in an hour the scent is completely gone. Either this is a “bad batch”, or it is not the real thing. Beware!! When I went to my order page, it indicates I can’t return it. Basically got a 40.00 bottle of one hour scent. It might cost more, but buy from a real store and get your money’s worth.

Do Not Buy! NOT AUTHENTIC!, December 21, 2011

Excellent Cologne for an amazing price!, October 21, 2011

This is an excellent cologne; not very strong, but not so light that you have to reapply half-way through the day. I use 3-4 sprays when leaving for work and it lasts me pretty much the entire day. I usually reapply once I change after getting back home in the evening.

I bought the smaller bottle from a retail store last year and immediately loved it. I’ve gotten compliments about it from many people who say the same thing, that it’s unlike most other colognes out on the market.

I was a little nervous about buying this big bottle online without having smelled it first (I’ve purchased colognes from other websites before that just didn’t smell like their retail counterparts. I’m guessing I always just ended up buying some cheap knock-offs instead of the real thing).

However, this one from Amazon is the real genuine deal. And I’m glad, because for this price and the size of the bottle, this is a STEAL!

Best cologne I’ve ever had, October 21, 2010

Ok so this order got to me from Amazon in less than 24 hrs and I paid no shipping- that was crazy- so I know where to order cologne for now on. First off, I’m a 35 year old man and have worn my decent share of cologne. Some random cologne memories: loved Happy and Aqua di Gio and some of the Hugos. Sort of liked Dirty English by Juicy, but the smell was a little too dirty. I didn’t feel great wearing it- felt kind of edgy in it for whatever reason. Certain smells can do that, I believe.

Now to Dreamer- I got Versace Dreamer about 5 hours ago and think I’ve worn it long enough to give an informed review. This stuff is awesome. Moschino Uomo was my favorite cologne in the past and I still wear that here and there. I feel like Dreamer is a softer, more complete, happier, more seductive version of Uomo. Uomo smells really good and unique and sexy and powerful- but it’s almost arrogant smelling when you compare it to Dreamer. Also, Uomo doesn’t evolve as much throughout the day- it starts and ends about the same.

Dreamer is a more sophisticated fragrance. Over the last few hours, I feel like it has evolved into a clean, warm, comforting fragrance that kind of makes you feel good. I know that sounds odd- but it is really the case. With some cologne, you might wear it a few hours and then get tired of the smell. I’ve had that in the past. With Dreamer though, I feel like I could wear this day or night, to the office or out for play. I’m sold- best cologne I’ve ever had and I think I’ll be wearing this bad-boy for years.

Versace Dreamer: Very Christmas-esque, December 25, 2010

I had never used this cologne before, and I admit, at first I did not like it, but then I realised the complexity of the cologne and changed my initial opinion. This is a very powerful cologne! In a good way. Dreamer does not weaken several hours later. I would use it very conservatively for day wear, because it will last well into the evening. Dreamer has history, having been released in 1997, and I can see why Dreamer has loyal customers. The scents are a delight. It’s like you’re dating yourself. Most ladies love it, too, because it is very masculine and exotic. There are evergreen notes from juniper berries, much like an exotic gin, with lilly and iris fragrances. A very strong amber and tobacco scent provides the backbone, giving it, overall, an admixture with a Christmas-esque bouquet, not unlike gingerbread cookies or brown sugar. It’s simply wonderful. If you are looking for something that is bold, go with Dreamer. I suggest Versace Man or Armani Code as a primer, as they are also very classy colognes for those who are new to colognes. Don’t overuse them, or any cologne, though! And please, don’t waste your money on low-end cologne. you get what you pay for. Stick with the designer brands. These folks (Chanel, Armani, Givenchy, Gucci, Versace, Burberry, Bvlgari, etc.) know what they are doing, and aren’t showing up 5 minutes to midnight like some of these new scent designers.

Smells great. Doesn’t cloy. Dissapates. Not your average scent, June 28, 2009

I can’t stand cloying scents. Drakkar Noir got sprayed on me once at a department store and fifteen rubs with a giant chocolate chip cookie couldn’t get the crap off me. Admittedly, later that day two female friends both admitted a kind of attraction to me, but I have a feeling it was more due to the scent of the cookie than the Drakkar Noir.

But I digress. I buy scent so infrequently that it took me a lot of time to pick a scent I actually liked. I’d wear lavender panty spray if I liked the smell and/or liked how my body chemistry worked with it. I’d gleefully condense the odor of a llama if it worked for me and I was happy with smelling like a llama. However, i also don’t wear cologne like the average teenage male, with a fuggy hum of odor preceding them as they move throughout the room. I’m often reminded of the Axe generation that hasn’t quite figured out that if I can smell them at ten paces, I’m certainly not going to be thrilled about it.

But after a female friend mentioned smelling this on an ex and going weak in the knees, I figured, “Okay, it can’t be all THAT bad.” Surprsingly, it works exceptionally well with my body scent. My natural notes are slightly musky and acrid, so the floral notes and citrus are an excellent counterpoint to what I smell like naturally, with a base that counters the acridness.

However, this scent does not work for everyone, just like bright purple eyeshadow will not attract a male (the breeding stock of the human population of Long Island to the contrary). It is a great scent, but like anything else, two short sprays on the neck and chest will be fine for any guy – more than that and you risk auditioning for a Real Life Axe Body Spray commerical – where yes, we can ALL smell how masculine you think you are.

when my husband and i started dating 6 years ago i already loved his blue jeans versace. in between we were forced to buy some other scent (due to the fact that we live in europe and could not find it) it never was quite the same. i love the smell of it. it draws me to him like no other perfume does. love it!!!

I have been using this cologne since 2001, when I first found it in Hawaii. Since then I have only found it online and once in Saudi Arabia. I have never gotten tired of it and I get some great compliments from women. Most have never been exposed to it before. And the best part, I have only gone through 2 bottles in six years(I was deployed in the Army for a year). I will buy this cologne for as long as I can find it…

I cannot remember a time when I got an aftersmell (just like aftertaste) so I was intrigued. It’s kind of a milder Armani Black mixed lightly with Izzy Miyake.

I think you’ll enjoy it, it took me a long time to find a new scent I would buy online (sifting through reviews not just on amazon).

I think the other review that it only lasts 30 minutes is an exaggeration. In 30 minutes, it changes it’s smell radically, to one more masculine. But saying it has a short lifespan has some truth. If I’m going out Friday night, I need to put some on before going to work (about 8 spritzes); and it calms down before I get to work, and is unsmellable unless you put nose to skin after about 3 hours. Then when I get off, I go home and spritz some more (same dose). Go out to dinner. Smell is gone. Then I go home again, spritz some more (the same morning dose), and now it will stay about 4-5 hours; if I also hit my shirt with a couple of sprizes as well. I’ve asked some female friends to smell me, and they confirm how light it is, having to almost touch me to smell it. And then when I go out (after this day long layering ritual), a woman has to brush by me and then she says “Who smells so good”, then has to lean against the men around her to identify that it’s me. I only put up with it because of the comments. I had one woman wanting hugs from me all night! I also use Alfred Sung, Dreamer, Very Irresistible, Kenneth Cole RSVP and CK Euphoria. All of these last longer, with the exception of Euphoria, which has about the same or shorter lifespan.

Versace Pour Homme – LOVE IT, July 16, 2010

My boss started wearing Versace Pour Homme in May – each time I went to his office it smelled like heaven. I looked it up on online and saw it had a lot of natural oils. I purchased this as a gift for my Dad for Father’s Day. He LOVES IT!!! I plan to purchase more for my brother and nephew. You cannot go wrong with this scent.

I have been using Georgio Armani’s Aqua di Gio for men since I was about 15 years old.

As another reviewer pointed out however, it seems as if every guy uses it as well.

A retailer convinced me to try this since I liked Aqua and was about to buy more. Although it is similar it has in my opinion not only a better smell but has more “notes” than Aqua.

It also is noticeable for much longer meaning the bottle should last longer as well.

i purchased 1.7 oz bottle of versace eau fraiche it was 49.95 but i had a 5 dollar gift card, it dosent stay on my skin no more than 3 and half hours maybe 4.

they shouldnt tell people on fragrancenet.com

that it will last 6 to 10 hours is a lie.

I was expecting a tester without a lid.I received a bottle shrink wrapped and had a lid.This was the cheapest price I found. It came in an orginal box and was shrink wrapped.It looks and smells offical to me.I think I got a good deal.
